Study Description

Some personality traits are believed to be more highly associated with differences n our use of language.

This study aims to investigate whether some personality traits found in the general population have any effect on the language processing. Participants may be of either sex, over the age of 18 and have English as their first language. In addition, participants should not have any prior mental illness history. This study will involve the screening for personality traits and upon completion of the screening upper and lower quartiles will be allocated to 2 groups. The groups then will proceed with four cognitive mental tests. It is estimated that participation in this study will take approximately 1 hour.

This research is part of a psychology honours project jointly coordinated by the Department of Psychology at Monash University. Please note that the study will be conducted at Monash University, Clayton.
